Matt P. Brown, CFP®

Vice-President, Financial Planning

Matt joined Mascagni Wealth Management as a financial advisor in 1996. He earned his B.S. with Honors in Business Administration from Mississippi College, where he was awarded the top academic award from the MC School of Business, The Wall Street Journal Award, and also the top academic award in his area of minor studies, The Norman E. O’Neal Religious Education Award.  Matt became Series 7 and Series 63 licensed in 1997, and in 1999 completed graduate studies through the College of Financial Planning in Denver, CO.  In 2000, he earned the designation of Certified Financial Planner™ from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.

Matt serves as Vice President at Mascagni Wealth Management and works directly with clients by preparing comprehensive financial plans and investment analysis. As a part of this Matt provides many ongoing duties — including the development of investment strategies, generating retirement analysis, comparing various planning scenarios, determining estate planning needs, ongoing review of investment portfolios, and consulting with clients to help achieve personal financial goals. Matt provides a continual communication link for helping the firm provide timely advice to clients. He is also the firm’s primary contact for qualified business retirement plans. Matt and the team at Mascagni Wealth Management work closely together to provide a high level of service to address the needs of clients on a day-to-day basis.

Matt is from Jackson, MS, and currently lives in Clinton, MS. He is an avid soccer fan and enjoys staying active in the sport through coaching.  He is married to Paula Barkley of Meridian, MS, and together they have two children, Peyton and Kellan.  Outside of the office he enjoys the outdoors, serving in local soccer and baseball leagues, and helping in various leadership roles at church.
